Famis Manufacturing was founded in 1994 by Jim Schmitt. “Famis”, which is an acronym for (Finest at Manufacturing, Innovation and Service) set out to be the “one stop shop” leader in the manufacturing and distribution of single-use products to the beauty and barber industry. |
In 1997, Famis moved to a new location which offered more manufacturing and warehouse space. During the following years, Famis expanded their product offering to include end papers, cotton coil, cotton puffs, and most recently cotton towels. In June of 2003, Jim Schmitt sold Famis Manufacturing,
becoming a minor shareholder and stepped back into a consulting role in
order to better fulfill his newly acquired duties as Mayor of Green Bay,
Wisconsin. Ralph and Beth Aschenbrenner became the new owners and quickly
began focusing Famis’ resources on expanding the business to include
spa products. At the Western Buying Conference in January of 2004, Famis
Manufacturing unveiled its new product line called Spa Innovations. The
new product line consists of epilating cloth, paraffin wrap, manicure
table towel, disposable spa towels, sheets, and face cradle covers. | |
